The construction industry is booming, with nationwide growth averaging more than 5% each year. Our Construction Technology program prepares students to step confidently into this expanding field by building a strong foundation of hands‑on skills and technical knowledge. Students learn to read blueprints and detailed drawings, apply construction mathematics, and gain real-world experience in carpentry, electricity, masonry, and plumbing.

While many graduates choose to enter the workforce immediately, this program is also an excellent stepping‑stone for students interested in pursuing architecture, engineering, or other advanced technical careers. Students earn industry-recognized certifications that strengthen their resumes and open doors to future opportunities.

Our Construction Technology students actively apply their skills through community projects. They have partnered with organizations such as the Seminole Lake Rotary Club to help build the “Haunted Graveyard” attraction at Seminole City Center, constructed chicken coops for Pinellas County Mosquito Control’s sentinel chicken program, and most recently designed and built a Legacy Walk near the veterinary building to support a campus fundraiser through laser-engraved bricks.

This program is ideal for students who enjoy working with their hands, solving problems, and helping strengthen their community—one project at a time.
