Science

At Tech High, all science courses are full‑year classes that earn 1 science credit and include extensive lab experiences. Our science curriculum is designed to develop strong scientific thinkers who can question, investigate, analyze data, and understand the systems that shape the natural world. Students engage in hands‑on experimentation, scientific writing, and real‑world problem‑solving across all disciplines, with Advanced Placement options for those seeking college‑level rigor.

Advanced Placement Options:

  • AP Biology: A college‑level study of cellular processes, genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology, paired with extensive laboratory work. Recommended preparation includes Biology and Chemistry.
  • AP Environmental Science: Focuses on ecosystems, sustainability, natural resources, and human interaction with the environment. Recommended preparation includes Biology and Chemistry.
